For all you ex-punks...

I've finally picked up Nation of Rebels again and need to re-emphasize the awesome-ness of it again. Its thesis is that consumerism is a process brought about by game theory, not by a bourgeois conspiracy to enslave the masses, and that counterculture movements drive consumerism rather than subvert it.

I'm making it sound really dry, but it's very readable and articulates all that I've been feeling about student activists and anarchy punks and other juveniles.
