Today, I

- had a massage. Highly recommended!

- had lunch with Steve at Yumma's. I had the lamb/beef wrap, Steve had the chicken. Patio = lovely.

- hopped on the N downtown. Deboarded at Powell and was greeted by a full-on Jesus band at the cable car turnaround. Amps and banner declaring "Open your heart to Jesus" and all. Sounded like the Eagles, snore. Drowned out whoremonger guy, too, the bastards.

- went to Forever 21 for the first time. Swarming! Tried on a floofy skirt, but it was a no go. (Booty not made for teeny bopper sizing.) Tried on a summery halter top deal and it fit! Not sure what kind of miracle of vanity sizing is happening here, but am glad for a cheap source for tops. Steve good heartedly tagged along rather than joining the bored-looking boyfriends deposited near escalators, bless his heart. Had a brainstorm: a drop-off area in for boyfriends with video games and cold beverages.

- went to Citizen Cupcake for the first time. Had the After Midnight, a chocolate cake base topped with a thick choco mousse and coated with a choco ganache. Divine.

- went to CompUSA for a KVM with two DVI ports. (Clearly, this was a Steve mission.) Unsuccessful. :(

- went to Borders. Ran into and met Merlin Mann & co, who recommended Indonesia Restaurant & Cafateria [sic]. Had thought Merlin was unique name until met a woman named Lothlorien. Borders = lots of Harry Potter around, snore. Saw a magazine just about puppies. Did pick up A Very Long Engagement, however!

- took the 2 Clement home for fun. Only busline that runs exclusively through affluent neighborhoods that I know of. Irish guys boarded at some point and tossed a ball back and forth amongst themselves. Had elaborate daydream about being hit in head by ball and me throwing the ball out the window while sneering at them and Steve going apeshit and tossing Irish guys out the back door.

- went home. Putted. Thought about car insurance options. Steve decided we should try Village Pizzeria.

- went to Village Pizzeria. Saw the Phungs! They were going to Burma Superstar. Rose asked to report on pizza, so Rose: pizza = thumbs down. No discernible flavors in any ingredients. Will always to go Giorgio's in the future. Discussion with Steve on worst pizzas ever.

- went home. Watched Closer. Appreciated it aesthetically and authenticity of experience, but couldn't really believe these people are stroking cheeks in public and schtooking so prolifically. Poor boundaries = bad relationships. Think you learn this, like, in your 20s, so sheesh, Jude/Julia/Clive. Sheesh!

- am listening to CarTalk (trying to bone up on car knowledge now that I own one.) Thinking about reading Tigana before heading to bed.
